Né en 1941, Claude Mouchard, poète, a publié Perdre (Berger-Levrault 1979), Ici (Le Nouveau Commerce 1986), Un grand désert d’hommes (Hatier 1991), L’Air (Circé 1997), et codirigé, avec Annette Wieviorka, La Shoah, témoignages, savoirs, œuvres (PUV 1999). Récemment, en 2007, il a publié aux Ed. Laurence Teper : Papiers ! Pamphlet-poème et Qui si je criais…? Oeuvres-témoignages dans les tourmentes du xxème siècle.Il a publié de nombreux poèmes ou études dans des revues ou des ouvrages collectifs(ACCP). Traducteur, en collaboration, de l’anglais, de l’allemand, du coréen et du japonais, il est professeur émérite à Paris 8 et rédacteur en chef adjoint du comité de rédaction de la revue Po&sie.

A la fois en colère et profondément bouleversé, Claude Mouchard interroge les frontières auxquelles nous conduit l’inhumanité de la vie faite à ceux qui sont réduits à la condition de clandestins : “nous”, “moi”, “eux”, “dedans“, “là-bas”. De la boue de la Loire aux cannelures des bouteilles, on sent à chaque ligne bouger des choses, souffrir des corps, se débattre des consciences, s’attester des rencontres et se chercher les mots justes.
