About the book :

They are two. A man and a woman. They aren’t young any more, retired, old age is coming. They are chatting while waiting for their children to come for lunch. Time flies by and anxiety gains ground, slowly moving to deeper areas of life. They talk on : what their life was like, how it could have been, the dreams they had made. They are also talking about their love, maybe their lack of love. At first, they are speaking in the same voice. Little by little, their voices become different, singular. They are daydreaming about happiness and a different life. They have never talked like that. Then, we can hear the childern’s car driving in. We understand the conversation is over ; life will go on the same.Halfway between theatre play and novel, a remarkable dialogue about life and time. Sometimes melancholy, sometimes merry, it’s about everyday life. The reader will acknowledge his own sensations and feelings. Discover Jean-Paul Michallet and you will want to read more.
