A young woman, the narrator, comes back to her former home (and garden) in order to take photos. Six years before, in this very garden, she had caught glimpse of an « impossible » scene which still remains a riddle. The narrator saw something but can’t make up her mind about what she has seen. She nevertheless tries to remember.Déplacements asks questions in a style expressing the search for continuation through ruptures. Who are those people we think we love ? How can’t we see things around us ?
Press reviews :
"In this intense novella divided into three parts, little and great mythologies intertwine. […] The poetic style of Marie Cosnay is both lucid and uncompromising ; her voice is closer to a subdued song than to a chant." Véronique Rossignol, Livres Hebdo.
"Marie Cosnay […] asserted a remarkable and compelling way of writing. In a subtle and sensitive prose, she masters love emotions and dwells on the fragility of the present." Monique Petillon, Le Monde.
« A dark fiction about the uncertain search of reality and the enduring sorrows we must overcome to start living again.» Christine Ferniot, Télérama.
